Welcome to Imperial Ceilidh Society! Whether you’re a veteran ceilidh-goer, a total newcomer who just fancies giving it a whirl, or anywhere in between, Ceilidh Society is the place for you!
As a society, we aim to bring people together in appreciation of Irish and Scottish traditional music and social dancing, as well as plenty of other social events, including themed pub crawls, live music nights and more!
A Ceilidh (pronounced kay-lee) is a social gathering with traditional Scottish and Irish folk music and social dancing. Each Ceilidh is led by a Caller, who guides you through the dances, ensuring everyone is up to speed and no one’s feet are squashed in the process. No previous experience is required- all dances will be taught on the night (just bring your enthusiasm and possible enjoyment of getting dizzy)!
