We are Imperial’s Prototyping & Hacking Society (ProtoSoc), a home for makers, builders, and creatives who want to learn, build, and innovate. Whether it’s designing something useful for everyday life, hacking a solution to a global challenge, or just building for fun, ProtoSoc is where imagination meets hands-on skills.

What We Do

Regular Hackspace Workshops – hands-on skill sessions every 1-2 weeks.

Hackspace Machine Induction Groups – get trained on equipment together.

Guest Workshops by Industry Partners – learn directly from professionals.

Student Projects – from our flagship RoboCup team to ProtoSoc-led builds and collaborations.
